The Rabbit Hole featured in ZUC!

Loved what you experienced in The Rabbit Hole’s series of mini event at Dubai? Loved what you saw in The Rabbit Hole’s series of mini event at Abu Dhabi? Excited about what you heard about The Rabbit Hole’s launch in May at Dubai Mall? Then I bet you all will absolutely LOVE what we have in store at the Zayed University’s Carnival on March 6th and 7th!

The rabbits will be holding several activities such as:

• The Rabbit Hole Bar: As you all already know, the bar is The Rabbit Hole’s signature and our own way of keeping people’s tummy satisfied as they roam around our fashion wonderland!

• The Rabbit Hole Boutique: Information will be provided about the upcoming event in May. We will also distribute questionnaires to see what people want and what people think about the upcoming event and us as a team! This is to provide communication between customers, fans, and us.

• Designer clothes showcased on mannequins: The Rabbit Hole have picked Hessa Al Falasi to be featured in our booth. She will be having a workshop that would supply you with basic equipments and fabrics to draw an innovative rough sketch and create it without actually sewing it!

Us, as The Rabbit Hole team, are very excited for the carnival for we would be meeting future designers, YOU! Not to mention that this is just a speck of what we have in stores for you for our annual launch!

TRH Flashbacks

As the facts state, rabbits have an excellent memory, and so do we at The Rabbit Hole team! A few months back, we organized our very first mini event from our series at Zayed University, Dubai campus, and not so long ago did we organize our second mini event in the series at Zayed University, Abu Dhabi campus.

We held the main contest in both campuses, which is the Abaya Competition, and we got a lot of applications from people who wanted to participate and a lot of them had splendid ideas but we had to narrow them down to only 7 teams.

At Zayed University, Dubai, we featured Mona Kattan, Huda Kattan, Tamara Gabbani, Ilham Abbas and Hind Beljafla who sponsored us with seven signature DAS abayas for the contestants to work on. And boy, did they get creative with them or what!

Here’s Reem Al Awadhi (worked with Dana Al Awadhi & Al Meera Al Awadhi) with her winner abaya:

As for Zayed University, Abu Dhabi, we featured Mona Kattan, Huda Kattan, Alya Kattan, Tamara Gabbani, Hind Al Falasi, Amal Murad and Rafia Bin Drai who sponsored us with seven signature Mauzan abayas for the competitors to get innovative with.

Here’s Fatima Adel, Mariam Al Hosani, Mariam Al Qubaisi, Afra Al Suwaidi & Amna Al Sada winning abaya:

First place runner up is Mariam Abdullah Omar & Shurooq Al Tunaiji’ abaya:

We are glad to have hosted such an event to get the inner designers within such youthful and creative Emirati women out, and we wish them all the best of luck in their fashion world, hoping that this is just their beginning of the runway for there’s a long way to go!

Emirati BOWtique!

Here in the Rabbit Hole journal, we’ve been posting threads about fashion for ladies and gentlemen over and over again forgetting the main purpose of our initiative, which is shining the spotlight on youthful Emirati or GCC designers, and showing the world of fashion that designers are not only limited to Europe and America, but to practically every region in the world!

Yes, young designers… and yes, Emirati women! They, too, have their fair share in fashion! Whether it was from clothing or accessories, and today we shine the spotlight on an Emirati brand that is dedicated to make you look like you entered a time-machine to “produce” you as a classy 50’s chick!

BOWtique, created & fabricated by Fatima Al Mehairi, offers you a various set of dresses, shirts & pants that are, literally, to die for. The collection in her website has a variety of themes such as daytime, nighttime, you can even find a couple of pieces you can wear over a friend’s place!

Each and every masterpiece of hers has a name of its own, and man does she get created with the names or what! All of her BOWtique closet is up on her website along with their prices. Aside of the clothing line, and as Al Mehairi has her photoshoots done for her products, she also makes it easier for the buyer to get access to any kind of accessory put on the model by offering it on her website.

As Al Mehairi would put it, “BOWtique’s collection is full of elegant pieces inspired by vintage influences,” one can only imagine how she fabricates them with love & dedication!

Here is Al Mehairi’s BOWtique simple collection:

Did we mention that Fatima Al Mehairi is also sending her pieces international? This lady sure knows what she’s doing, and she sure is aiming for the stars!

Contact BOWtique through her Twitter & her blog.

I cannnnot possibly wait to get myself into one of those gorgeous dresses! xx

The Rabbits Fashionably Late

On behalf of The Rabbit Hole team members, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience of postponing the official launch of The Rabbit Hole event which was supposed to be held in February 2012. Due to operational reasons and in order to deliver a first rate event for our supporters and the upcoming designers; we decided to move the event to May 2012. This will give the team more time to work with the designers to put together a launching line, brand their first fashion lines, and make it an experience to remember.

We would like to stress and clarify that this change will not be affecting anyone who is working hand in hand, contributing, or is in charge of a specific role in the process of launching The Rabbit Hole first event.

Again, we sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.
