TRH Flashbacks

As the facts state, rabbits have an excellent memory, and so do we at The Rabbit Hole team! A few months back, we organized our very first mini event from our series at Zayed University, Dubai campus, and not so long ago did we organize our second mini event in the series at Zayed University, Abu Dhabi campus.

We held the main contest in both campuses, which is the Abaya Competition, and we got a lot of applications from people who wanted to participate and a lot of them had splendid ideas but we had to narrow them down to only 7 teams.

At Zayed University, Dubai, we featured Mona Kattan, Huda Kattan, Tamara Gabbani, Ilham Abbas and Hind Beljafla who sponsored us with seven signature DAS abayas for the contestants to work on. And boy, did they get creative with them or what!

As for Zayed University, Abu Dhabi, we featured Mona Kattan, Huda Kattan, Alya Kattan, Tamara Gabbani, Hind Al Falasi, Amal Murad and Rafia Bin Drai who sponsored us with seven signature Mauzan abayas for the competitors to get innovative with.

Here’s Fatima Adel, Mariam Al Hosani, Mariam Al Qubaisi, Afra Al Suwaidi & Amna Al Sada winning abaya:

We are glad to have hosted such an event to get the inner designers within such youthful and creative Emirati women out, and we wish them all the best of luck in their fashion world, hoping that this is just their beginning of the runway for there’s a long way to go!
